RIDING CLASSES

These are the competition classes for NETA events, not training classes
For full class requirements see the NETA Rulebook HERE

Youth A & B:

Youth class is for young riders on small machines learning the basics.

Youth class will be designated as YOUTH A or YOUTH B on signage. Youth A and B are age specific classes, dedicated to minors age twelve (12) and younger who may be younger and/or less experienced than those participating in the Rookie class. Youth riders must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. Youth A and B classes will include sections and a loop segregated from all other classes with a dedicated Youth Trialsmaster. Youth A will be the more advanced group, yet their sections will utilize open turns and very small or no obstacles. Admission to Youth A will be at the discretion of the Youth Trialsmaster.

Youth B is the least challenging youth class, designed for small non-trials type motorcycles and very young and possibly inexperience riders. Youth B is recommended for riders eight (8) years of age or younger riding their first event. Although all classes are mandatory at NETA sanctioned events, there are some venues that prohibit non-trials bike tires, thus disqualifying some Youth A and B riders’ bikes. If Youth A and B classes are not offered at an event, event organizers will give notice in the NETA newsletter and on the NETA website. Youth A and B classes will start one (1) hour earlier than adult classes, usually at 10:00 a.m. Parent/legal guardian is responsible to provide appropriate riding gear and size motorcycle for their rider
