NETA has a strict helmet policy. Riding a motorcycle without a MOTORCYCLE helmet at the event site on the day of the event will result in disqualification.

News:

Well all I can say is if you missed Brooksville you missed a very special event. The loop was difficult and marked with ribbon, nobody got lost. The sections were hard but fun, nobody got hurt (except for pulled muscles and Bob getting hit in the head with a stick while swimming, Thanks again Hub). You could ride out of the section and right into a patch of the sweetest blueberries in the world. The kids were all swarming as a group of young'uns will do. There was a campfire to toast marshmallows and bench race, dogs to chase sticks, chickens crossing the road, sheep bleating, peanut butter and blueberry sandwiches, morning coffee and the worlds best breakfast sandwiches, a teeter totter that the kids had hours of entertainment (and the parents hours of stress) with. Lobster and crab dinner,  Stunning scenery and perfect weather. A slice of trials terrain heaven. And oh the stars!

Usually the ride home seems much shorter then the ride to the event but this one was different. This time the ride home seemed much longer because nobody wanted to leave. This was more like a family reunion (the kind where everybody gets along) then a trials. I think I can speak for everybody there, a huge thank you to the Altman family and all their friends that made this one happen. It was wonderful.

Pictures will be up shortly including some from Judy. No not Auntie Judy, but Judy of Wayne and Judy. She got a new camera and now Trebor and I have some serious competition. Really, she's bringing the A-game now.

There will be a vintage trials on Saturday September 13, 2008. 11 am start.

RITC is looking for checkers for both Saturday's  9/13 Vintage (checkers get a free t shirt) and Sunday's 9/14 NETA.

(NOTE the 9/13 event is NOT NETA sanctioned and cannot be used to qualify for year end points.)

Hey Y'all, the Vermont event was really sweet! Ok so the weather was lousy. Er, and the sections were really hard but the landowners at Carman Brook farm made this a sweet event. They BBQ'd great food, made killer maple milkshakes and served morning coffee, burgers and sweet Italian sausage.

If you didn't get the chance to buy some tasty maple products from these good folks you can click on the above graphic to go to their web page. Remember to thank them for their hospitality.

I highly recommend the powdered maple sugar on fruit (Dan)

NETA will have two representatives at the TDN this year. Louise Forsley and Caroline Allen will be putting it on the line for the USA and representing you so how about a little support?
